Devonshire Cakes are delicious English cakes to be used as special desserts, elegant gifts, and wedding or groom's cakes, at parties, anniversaries, or any time the out of the ordinary is called for. These cakes, an unusual gift idea for a hostess or shower gift, are based on a traditional East-England recipe brought over in the 1890s by my great, great grandmother and updated with the deepest chocolates, finest nuts, and natural essences.
